Anyone out there own one of these? I wouldn't mind getting one, but the brand is a bit unfamiliar to me. I believe La Swiss in the Toronto Eaton Centre may be a Ulysse Nardin AD, but are there any others in the general area of Southern Ontario?

I've seen them at La Swiss, never really appealed to me that much - most of them are just too darned weird, although the marine collection like the one in your post aren't bad.

I find them an interesting company, the Innovision watch that they unveiled earlier this year had some really cool technology in it, but it's a hideous thing to look at.

All of the La Swiss stores will carry them, not aware of any other ADs in this area though.

Found some stuff on the InnoVision that I referred to in my previous post.

Details of the innovative 'stuff' in the watch are here - http://www.ulysse-nardin.com/ulysse-nar ... 1001JJ.pdf

Unfortunately that doesn't necessarily result in aesthetic perfection - the watch looks like this - http://www.ulysse-nardin.com/ulysse-nar ... 1001JK.pdf

The freak watch that those articles refer to looks like this:

The InnoVision is not a production model, The Freak was produced - the gold one pictured listed for around $40,000 US if I remember correctly.

I've seen a number of pictures of the 'Freak' model. As technologically amazing as it is, I have to say it is really ugly! Clever, but ugly. Wrist shots didn't change my mind either. The classic 'ship's chronometer' face of the Marine series has a certain elegance, and the power reserve is a useful complication. The La Swiss in Square One, Mississauaga doesn't sell the brand. Do you know of any other stores?

???

Doesn't sell them or doesn't have any on display?

La Swiss is the AD for them in Canada. Go to www.laswiss.com for a list of all stores, I use Yonge & Bloor - a very helpful team.

I've been to like 4 La Swiss in Canada, and only 2 of them sold Ulysse Nardin and Zenith and Breitling for Bentley. That was one of the ones in Toronto.. don't remember which mall (I think Yorkdale?), and the one in downtown Vancouver Pacific Centre. I'm assuming the lower-output La Swiss stores don't carry all the lines.

Who knew!

Can't say I've gone out of my way looking for them, but I suspect that the Yonge and Bloor and Yorkdale stores have most of the brands that Las Swiss carry simply because of location, but a call to check is always worthwhile.

I would imagine that any store could get one sent to them, but obviously you need to try them on before you decide.
