It's so odd that a company would have completely different standards on two sides of a pond... :?:

Not really the same company - BUSA vs. BUK - completely self contained operating units - they just happen to have the same owner.

There should still be some continuity in the way they do business.

There is - they both act as distributors for Breitling watches.

The service / marketing aspect is different in the same way as it is for virtually every other manufacturer - promotions only available in certain states / countries / etc.

It might not be 'fair' to a global community like this, but it's hardly a variation from the norm for any multinational company.

I suppose 95% of Breitling customers abroad wouldn't even know any better.

Now that we're talking about it, how many watches does Breitling sell per year?

I don't know, but I've bought 4 in four months at around £12,800 and as a UK buyer not even a jot of thanks!

Like others have said, it's not getting the freebies that's the issue, it's the principle and also down to the fact that when BUK do send out gifts it's again very hit and miss at that!

As most manufacturers have a registration form inside their products it seems a little odd in this day and age that BUK don't.

OK granted, I am starting to strike up a relationship with a couple of AD's and through discounts and event invitations they do reward your loyalty, but ultimately Breitling should be doing the same too!

Might be about time to write a collective letter or a e-mail to Breitling SA.

Come on, Breitling, loosen up your money belt a little... There are other
watch companies out here just aching to get our business...

But how many of them send you gifts??

I buy all my 'lings used so I have to buy my gifts (pen and hat) too LOL! By the way, I LOVE the Breitling pen. For those of you that actually use it  isn't it a great feeling pen? I got the Orange one and use it daily.

Well then don't you dare drive yourself even crazier by guesstimating how much money difference it would have been to buy 10 Lings on this side of the pond... then considering the cool gifts as well.

Yeah that'd be VERY unwise of me!

To be honest, it's not even the fact that the freebies are the be all and end all : for me it's just a token to say "thanks and we appreciate you as a customer". Again, if they didn't do it anywhere there'd be no issue as far as I'm concerned, but it's like my money is somehow less appreciated that someone's Stateside.

and as such an Owners Club is born!!!

and half of yours are bentleys which are not cheap!!!
