Simply incredible!

I commented in the other thread with the side by side against the AS, but this watch is a great looking piece. The OR really works with it and it combines tremendous presence with a clean look that you get without the subs.

A very impressive piece.

Very nice. Will it replace your Steelfish as everyday watch or will you alternate between all of them?

I haven't decided yet. It is the same proportions as my Blacksteel, even a bit thicker. I had to stop wearing the Blacksteel at work, because my hands are in machinery so much of the time. I really have never worried about that before, but I could see that it would get ruined. The Steelfish doesn't seem to get in the way nearly as much. It does get scratches and dings, but that is just a part of the normal wear to me. The Seawolf is so comfortable, though, especially with the OR strap.
I know that if I start wearing it every day, the other two will likely get no wear at all. What a nice problem to have, though!

Cheers,
Carl

Congratulations Carl!! That really is a sharp combination with the O/R strap. How does it sit on the wrist compared to the Steelfish? It sounds like you are pretty much on your way to "Breitling Nirvana".

I wore the Steelfish to work today - it has the PRO II strap on it. I had worn the Seawolf, with the OR for most of the weekend, at least since I picked it up on Saturday morning. Funnily enough, I find the Seawolf a lot more comfortable. It just seems to sit on my wrist better and doesn't move around as much. Maybe I have the PRO II a bit loose, but I prefer it that way. The Seawolf is a bit loose, too, but it just stays in place like a good boy!
I guess I will start wearing it to work tomorrow. If it gets scratched, well, so be it. I wore my Superocean for 10 years straight, and it got scratched too. Just adds character and the personal touch to it!
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks, Ian. Sorry out paths did not cross. It would have been great to share the excitement with you! I was not looking too great, did not get much sleep on Friday night. I just wanted it to be morning, so that I could go and pick up my Seawolf! That was definitely the highlight of my weekend, as you can imagine.
I saw a real nice Cockpit at T & G, silver dial with a brown or tan leather strap. The Cockpit was a serious possibility for me last year, when I got the Steelfish and Blacksteel. At that time they had not quite come out with the new one like yours. I liked the previous version, but like the one you have much better. I would have been quite disappointed. Were you on the hunt for another watch on Saturday?
Cheers,
Carl

Congratulations on the SeaWolf, Carl. I went with the black dial as well and am over the moon. It's a stunning piece!

Hey Carl. Yeh someday our paths will cross and we will bore all those around us with talk of watches :D
I was in T&G to look funnily enough at leather strap options for the cockpit! I think at some point in the next couple of months I might put it on a leather strap, I really like the calf that they do and am thinking the deep brown or black! As for watches, well, I have to say hand on heart I found my grail in the cockpit, I love it and I think the only watch that would entice me now would be a classic gold dress watch, something like a JLC, Glashutte, A.Lange or PP, they are all however way out of my price range at the moment !
I have turned my attention to my fountain pens, I have a Mont Blanc and Waterman and am in the process of getting a third, a hand made hand lacquered Nakaya made in Japan, beautiful attention to detail just like Breilings.
Hope to bump into you someday, maybe we can get together with Nelson !
Did you check out the leather strap options BTW, I still think yours would look stunning on black leather!

Hi Ian,
The leather would look great on your watch. I am with you on getting a deeper colour or black, for the contrast. I am going to play around with the Japan website, and have a look at leather options for the Seawolf. I agree it would look really good. Right now, I am loving the Ocean Racer strap - so much better than I thought it would be.
Would be great to get together and have a good old chat about watches and life in general. Actually, I will PM you about that. After I look at the Breitling Japan website.
Cheers,
Carl
