Right Lads (and lasses), help required, the oh so personal decision of a watch choice is now being thrown open to the floor. It'll be my first GMT and will be used for work. I love them both so come on folks, tip the balance for me, silver dial or black!
The silver looks great under the halogens at the AD but the black comes into its own in natural daylight!

Make it happen folks, this is the weekend on which the deal will go down!

Best Wishes

That's a nigh on impossible one for us to answer, Cap! It's all too much of a personal thing.

However, I guess one way you could swing it, is to think what kind of strap/bracelet you want. It might be worth checking out www.breitling.co.jp "fitting" section, and trying a few different strap variants on it, just to see which gives you the most appealing set of options.......

I guess that's one way of helping you narrow it down. Good luck though!

I'm with Driver8.

Both colours are flexible enough to work with pretty much any outfit, so it has to be down to what you prefer.

The fitting site is an excellent place to start.

Black is easier to read. White "wears" bigger.

My best advise to you so is to buy both. It's the only way you will be truly satisfied with the decision you made ;)

I would prefer the black dial on the Colt GMT. Good luck! :lingsrock:

I knew that was coming In 2 Deep! Nice call.

It could be that black is winning, if Ling did a white dial for the colt gmt I'd be there! But its not, its silver and without the solid metal B-wings on the dial (as per the high end Lings)it all looks a bit clashy! Plus the black 'flips' a little blue due to the anti glare.
I think I'm in agreement..........with myself.

Super.

I looked at the Silver dial GMT and it doesn't read very well so I went with the blue. The black is also very nice so between that and the silver dial, I'd go with the black.

I also vote the third option... blue, easy to read and under some light/angles almost has a grayish silver look to it

I would go with the black dial. When I got my Steelfish (with black dial), my choices were the Colt GMT or SuperOcean Steelfish. In the end, I got the Steelfish because I liked the fact it was a bit larger - only about 3mm diameter - especially because it has a 22mm lug width. The dials on both are beautiful, the GMT just has more silver numerals, instead of the round markers. Also, the GMT is all polished, which is very attractive. It looks great also with a black or tan/gold leather strap. The polished bracelet looks great also with the shiny black dial. Try them both, then decide. Either way, the GMT is a great watch!
Cheers,
Carl
