[quote="ianmedium"]I love the shiny accents around the 12/6/9 markers and date window and love the font they have used to the automatic script.[quote]

Thanks for mentioning the 'Automatic" font. Usually the word "Automatic" is in a very plain font with capital letters. This is really a beautiful script font, kind of unusual for such a sporty watch. But the watch is very unusual in a lot of respects and, as you say, very classy. So, yes, it does deserve such a font. It would have taken me a long time to notice that had you not pointed it out.
I just realized it is the same font that is used on the Chronomat in the Windrider line.

Cheers,
Carl

Thanks so much for your very kind comments Carl, it is much appreciated! I really like that automatic script it really does add class I think! I was just on the design site looking at your watch and the black calf really is outstanding on the watch I think...Mind the black croc looked stunning as well!!

When I went in to T&G as per usuall they were so friendly, I must be honest I did mention I came in to look at the watch beacuse of you and I just wanted to mention that when I said your name Juanita was so complementary about you. Just thought it would be nice to know how you are thought of there, though I am sure you know!

Thanks for that Ian. I am always treated very well there, by everyone. It is nice to know, though, from a third party, how you are thought of. I am usually quite hard on myself, and I don't assume anything, and also am very careful about not taking up too much of their time. I was in customer service myself - 25 years with the airlines - so I am even more aware than average about what it is like to be on the other side of the counter. In think if one does have respect for others, in the long run it does very much pay off. The gentleman who is the proprietor of Time & Gold is obviously very careful about how he picks his staff, they are all wonderful.
I am going to ask them to hold the watch for me until next week, then I will likely pick it up on Thursday, or maybe even Tuesday if I can.
Cheers,
Carl

Congrats, Carl. You're getting a hell of a watch. Apart from posting pics,
let us know all the details about actually wearing it -- the comfort/discomfort
level, how practical it is to wear it with long sleeves, is heaviness and thickness
a problem? -- stuff like that. The reason is, if for some reason I'm not able to
get my long sought after IWC Pilot's Chrono, then the Seawolf is my second
choice. So...enjoy, enjoy. :)

Steve

Don't worry, I will let you know all the details. It will likely be quite a rambling message.
For those who have not seen this watch in person, even the best pics do not do it justice. I went in today, and had another look, and got them to hold the watch for me till I pick it up on Tuesday. Ian described it best a few posts ago.
Like most of us, I am looking at watches all the time - all makes and models. Today, I discussed this with Marc at my AD. He has an AS, and is really starting to like the Seawolf better. We also discussed the Rolex Sea Dweller, which is my favourite Rolex, but to us it doesn't come near the Breitling in looks. Anyway, there plenty of makes and models to choose from, at least one for every taste.
I am fortunate that Breitling is my favourite, and even more fortunate that the Aeromarine line is my favourite within the Breitling lines. The pricepoint is at least something I can afford. Although I know that even if I couldn't afford it, I would have at least one! As someone else stated: "Life is no fun without a good watch."
Cheers,
Carl

Can't wait to hear all the details, Carl. And don't worry,
you can ramble all you want -- the more wordage, the better. :)
So until the great day...ciao.
