Hey Metal86,
Got my mind set on the Seawolf at my AD. It has a black dial with Diver Pro strap. I already have an Ocean Racer (black) that I got for my Steelfish last summer. It now has the PRO II, so I will have the OR put on the new Seawolf. I should be picking it up end of next week, so I will be sure to post pics so that you can see the OR on it. Now I have to count the sleeps till I get the Seawolf. This year is my 60th birthday, so this is my present. The birthday is not till Oct. but I want to get the watch now in case there is a price increase. I am quite anxious to see it with the OR strap!
cheers,
Carl

BTW, while I was on the Breitling Japan website, I tried the black Diver Pro with the grey case. It actually looked real good. Unfortunately, they don't offer the option of OR strap there.

Yes, that's unfortunate - but that still makes a good fit!

Hey Metal86. Here is a link to a photo of the Seawolf with black dial and Diver Pro strap, like the one I will be getting. Except that I will likely have them put on my Ocean Racer strap. The photo really picks up the matte black finish on the dial well:

Seems like there is another error in the Breitling design / photodepartment (remember the SA and Seawolf older models in the new catalogue?)

Some of the Seawolf pictures in the .jp site are the old version, some the new (polished sides give them away).

How hard can it be to get things right?????

Yeah, I tend to agree with you. This whole website thing really is the only issue that I have with Breitling. For example, the format for the Japanese website is different than the English one, and has a lot more options. And like you say, some pics of the Seawolf with variances in polished and brushed.
On the other hand, I do find that the Breitling websites tend to give more technical info and more pics at different angles than a lot of other makes out there. So I guess no matter what make you choose, there are always some compromises.
I have such a fondness for the product, however, that this issue is really very minor with me.
Cheers,
Carl

Hey Metal86,
Went to my AD after work today, to take another look and got them to hold the Seawolf for me. I plan to pick it up next Tuesday, and will have the OR strap put on. I am going to get the Diver Pro that is on it as well, I just have a feeling that I might like it more, but at least I will have the option. It really looks great, and I think it probably suits the black dial better than the PRO II stainless. I already have a PRO II on my Steelfish, and they are going to find out for me if they can just order the end links, where the bracelet attaches to the lugs. The PRO II by itself is now $500. so if I can avoid that cost, I will. They will give me a discount, however, if I need to get a new PRO II. Other than the end links, the bracelet is identical, though, so I don't see a problem.
I can't wait to see it with the OR strap, though, if it works out that I really like it, I will likely get the deployment clasp brushed at some point. The Diver Pro that is on it now has a brushed buckle, though it's a small detail it looks good.
I understand totally why you love your Seawolf so much. I just know it will be my favourite. The guy who was looking after me today, Marc, has an AS, and he says he is liking the Seawolf even better. I know that if this model had been out last year at the same time I got my Blacksteel and Steelfish, I would likely have gotten the Seawolf and that would have been it. Now I will have three to choose from, and the Seawolf will likely be on my wrist all the time!
Anyway, will post pics (so far as my limited skills will allow) as soon as I get my Seawolf. Only 5 more sleeps to go!
Cheers,
Carl

Hey Carl! Been away last couple of days. So happy for you on your VERY NEAR purchase of that Seawolf!!! I did look at that link you posted of the jp. site and saw what a beautiful watch you are about to buy. Again...I just LOVE how the only splash of color is on the red boxed tipped second hand! That matte black looks perfect with the black Diver Pro. So happy for you, ENJOY!!! :lingsrock:

Hi Nelson,
I was actually able to pick it up yesterday!
Here is a link to my posting:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7153
In spite of my rather poor photography skills, I think there will be enough material on there to give you
a good idea of what the OR strap looks like. Awesome! Hope you enjoy the photos.
I could not be happier with this watch. Especially with the black dial, it seems like the OR is just made
for it.
Cheers,
Carl

I must be honest but after a slow start, the new Seawolf is really starting to grow on me! Very nice indeed!

This watch is really taking off here, right? ;)
Seems like everybody was very questioning at the start about Breitling going from ti to ss etc, but now the Seawolf is getting a lot of attention. And rightfully so. Cant wait to get mine!
