Navitimer World, Steel Bracelet, Steel face, Black & white face.

I have been looking at this watch for quite some time now...

The RRP in Australia is AUD$8590 = USD$6100... (or this was the price for 2008)

I have just heard that from 1/1/09 the price has moved up a massive 15% to AUD$9920 = USD$7100.

My AD is willing to honour the old price if I get in quick (with a small discount)... My question is:

Is there a new model coming out? Anyone have any information???

The AD said that it is a model they received from the distributor in the last 10 days or so and is still in the box etc... not a display case model

I would be most greatful for any info.

Thanks heaps.

Raising prices again? In a bad economy?

that's one fine timepiece.... Its my favourite from the Navitimer line.
Sorry I couldn't resist posting a pic of my favourite, the white face version.... And because the dial is in white, it shows as much larger....

Due to the falling A$ my AD of choice said all prices have risen 15-20%. When I asked for a couple of prices I nearly fell over. They're the most expensive in Oz I believe.

Yes, there has been a price rise across the board here.

For anything your AD already has in stock I would have thought you should be able to strike a deal based on the old prices, but if you need the AD to order something in then they'll have to pay the new wholesale rates.

It's currency related, just like the ones elsewhere before Christmas.

Across the board increases won't happen until May.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, Mario. Only an issue for those of us who get paid in Pacific Pesos  .
