Thank you Carl! My thoughts on the RED OR strap as well. This watch is stunning in person! I absolutely love how the only splash of color is on the red box tip second hand...which BTW I am soooo happy they did not change to an arrow tip, IMHO. The ceamy colored numerals with the brite white 12, 3, 6 and 9 and hour and min hand on that slate/shark grey dial with that tiny bit of red are a truely beautiful contrast of color.

You are right about the box tip...I think it goes very well with the bulkiness of the watch. They did change it on my Steelfish, and I have the arrow, which I do like on that model.
As much as I love the Steelfish, I have seen a couple of the Seawolfs at my AD now. I must say, they are really growing on me now. I am once again in a dilemma what to do. I think I might sit tight until May 2009 after the Basel show. Since it's Breitling's 125 anniversary, there may be a new model this year to comemmorate that. I am not very good at the "wait and see" game, but I do find that it sometimes pays off.
Glad you are so passionate about your new watch.
Cheers,
Carl

VERY cool cat Damnfoolman! I am a proud owner of a Maine Coon cat! BIG cats that look like a cross between a Lynx and a Bobcat.

I am liking this one more and more... have tried it on and it feels like a tank.
Seems like a perfect knockaround watch also, it is really built to last.

The only think I don´t like is the lug width - it should have been 24 mm for a watch of this size.

Congratulations on picking one up and thanks for the very motivating pictures!
This one is climbing on my "shopping list for 2009" everyday.

Normally, I would agree with you about the lug width: to me, the wider, the better. However, the first Seawolf that I saw had a PRO II bracelet. I think you have to see it in person. I actually thought the bracelet size was perfect, as a matter of fact I had to check the Breitling website under Tech Data to make sure that it was in fact not 24mm. That is one hefty watch, believe me. When I held it in my hand and tried it on, I was mezmerized! I had only seen the pics of the new one, but seeing it in person really swayed me.
Cheers,
Carl

Hey Metal86,
Tell me...is the side of the case polished, or brushed? I couldn't tell from the pics on the Breitling website either. Looks like it might be. Funny thing, they don't have a 360 view of the Seawolf on there. I am going down to my AD on Saturday to take a look at this thing. Now I can't get it out of my mind!
Cheers,
Carl

Hey Carl! Yes, the sides of the case ARE polished! As is the side of the bezel and the top inner case ring of the bezel. Beautiful contrast with the brushed IMHO.

It's part of the case and it's called chimney.

Lovely piece, Metal86, wear it in health. You've got me hankering after an ASW now. I really fancy the yellow dial but love your brushed steel bracelet........I must speak with my AD.

Well done again, my friend. :D
