The reason I ask is that in a few hours time I'm hoping to be the proud owner of an Avenger Skyland and just happened to be browsing the Breitling website and saw the image below:

I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a Mark II version of the Avenger Skyland, or is it another model which I've not saw anywhere else apart from the official site?

Thanks in advance...

Thanks, maybe should have looked a bit closer on the Breitling website. But, to excuse myself, I prefer to come on here for my info on all things Breitling :D

Must admit, its not a model that I've saw in many shop windows in the UK anyway.

No worries. Try to get your hand on a 2009 Chronolog. It'll be easier to sort through some things before going back to your AD to try some things on and ask some questions. :)

And in answer to your question in the title of the thread, yes Breitling will definitely be releasing new models in 2009, but not until Baselworld (the Basel watch exhibition) in March/April next year.

Obviously there's no word what they will be unveiling yet, but you can rest assured it should be good as 2009 is Breitlings 125th anniversary, so they'll be unlikely to let that go without a bang! :D

And we're all hoping for that large Chronomat.

I wonder if there'll be a Cosmonaute or some other large steel model with 24 hour dial?

I'd hold off on expanding my Glycine part of my collection if there was...

I was at my AD yesterday, Time & Gold in Vancouver, and they reminded me of that. I am still in debate about whether or not I should spring for a Blackbird, and wanted to have a final look at one before making any decisions. They did not have one, but I got the great new Chronolog 09.
Sorry to get off the topic. They did mention the likelihood of Breitling doing a Limited or Special Edition this year to commemorate 125th anniversary, so I am really tempted to wait a few months and see what that may be.
Cheers,
Carl

The two versions of the Blackbird aren't going anywhere so you can always get one post Basel announcements if nothing takes your fancy.

Yeah I am definitely holding off another Breitling purchase until after Baselworld. I'd hate to blow the watch budget only to find a superb 125 anniversary LE about in a few months.

I kind of agree - but, if something special would suddenly be possible/available before that I might have to increase the watch budget.

Agreed......... and the fact that I won't be buying another Breitling till after Basel doesn't mean I'm excluding any other makes.......... Zenith, IWC, Panerai, etc :D
