$406.50 to be exact... I'm in the retail business as well and to keep the doors open after overhead, floor planning etc, an average retail business must maintain a 32 to 37% GMP. The 43% GPM on Breitlings gives a cushion of 6 to 11 points. After a 34.5% discount you can do the math.

If I had to survive on 6 to 10 percent GPM's I would be selling widgets out of my kitchen on line. Glad I don't sell watches for a living! :shock:

I visited 2 Tourneau stores in NY and both were selling Breitlings at retail prices, it was the beginning of the month (Dec.,).
I would love to know were you can get these discounts??? What AD in NY is willing to reduce pricing??? :?:

great topic...noticed that some ppl had info on dealer cost. Is that readily available info?

Would also be interested in recommendations for ADs offerring discounts in the NY area as NYrealtor mentioned...

Remember too guys that watch ADs are not extensions of their lines. In other words, the discount from one may be totally different than another; it depends on the individual business environment they are in. This should not be construed as offensive or that they don't want/need your business; simply they cannot (for whatever reason) be as aggressive.

I'm sure for many this is stating the obvious, but by the same token, one should not be shocked when they call their (random) dealer and get turned down.

Good news is, not all ADs are as competent on the service side either. Similarly, not all offer the same experience or knowledge that may prove useful in the buying process. Weigh all aspects, not just price.

God I wish that trend was repeated here! We've seen a 15% increase in price across the board for Breitlings in Australia! The Chrono Evo went up by over a grand. I'm envious.
