Looking to pick up a new watch in the next few weeks. Would I have better luck with discounts before the year is up or does it not really matter?

In NY where I am, You do not find any discounts via AD's, I purchased my SA via the web. (authenticwatches.com) you get a watch with the serial # but no Breitling paperwork.

Hit up the group buy if you can't find a good deal in your area.

Thanks for the responses.

Surprised to hear that ADs don't offer discounts in the NY area. I'm also from the NY area...actually right across the bridge from you. I'm going to go check out Tourneau either at the Westchester or in the city, but I was in Philly this weekend and without hassling...I got about 22% off from an AD there. Let me try my luck here, and will keep you posted.

Thanks for the heads up on the group buy...will have to check it out.

I'm thinking most of these ADs want to book their sales before the year is up and may be willing to bend a bit now, rather than in January...but I'm hoping to find the same deals...especially since I'm torn between the 6.75 and the Motor.

End of the year us usually the best time to buy anything. At the very least, it will be the same.

Where in the NY area are you? I was offered 25% and no tax(cash deal)without even trying to haggle from a AD in the Queens area. I was also offered a similiar deal from an AD on Long Island. PM me if you need any help and I'll tell you where I went.

Aren't all ADs who also have the Bentley line required to sell a certain number of Bentley models in order to keep that lineup in their store? I thought this was brought up before, if I remember corerctly, Driver got a good deal since his AD wanted to keep the Bentley line but I may be wrong. I don't know when Breitling would review the sales if it's on a calendar year or another 12 month period.

That was certainly correct when I bought my Motors - but even so it ony resulted in a deal that was comparable to what you Stateside guys seem to get on a fairly regular basis - 30% ish. I was plenty pleased though! :D

Sorry you don't agree, but if you were to just spend a few minutes searching on this site you'll find plenty of examples of people who have managed 25 to 30% discounts from AD's in the US.

Here's one of the most recent threads on the topic for starters - http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/v ... 15&start=0

Oh and welcome to the forum BTW.
