Finally got around to opening a photobucket account and wanted to post a few pics of my new Chrono Cockpit with the bronze face. Had been eyeing this watch for almost two years and finally pulled the trigger on the purchase. I am in love with it!! I will post some other pics later (including shots of the packaging to give everyone a shot or two of the 2008 bakelite box that is being used for this model).

Very nice indeed. We don't see too many of those on here, but that's a great piece.

Congrats!

Yup - that's a nice combination. Never really liked the bronze dial but it looks really good there.

Enjoy

Great combo between dial color and Romans.

Very nice indeed - and the bronze is a great colour (and I'm not biased at all).

That Cockpit Chrono is a beauty! It was actually one just like yours, roman numerals and bronze dial, that really caught my eye a few months ago. The bronze dial works beautifully with the polished case and bracelet, and the shiny silver numerals.
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks for all the comments, guys. It looks like the same things tend to attract people to a watch .... it was the roman numerals on the face that really grabbed my attention when I first saw the watch. Since then, it was just trying to justify the cost to myself (I am very good at making such justifications to myself!).

I have added a few more pictures of the watch and the packaging. While taking these shots today, I realized that my next purchase has to be a digital SLR so I can get better shots!!

May I suggest a Nikon D80 or D90. I have both and am very pleased.

But I do need a Micro lens :D

I use a Canon Powershot SD1100 IS which goes for a couple of hundred bucks along with a $40 light box and get great shots. All you need is proper lighting my friend ;)
