Admin,

Please make sure you include both your videos about bracelets and links too. Those were very useful as I resized my bracelet recently!

Some More - (Could be repetitions - but I am just jotting down as they keep popping up in my mind)
1. History of Breitling?
2. What is COSC? Is my watch COSC certified? Are all Breitlings COSC Certified?
3. How accurate should my watch be? What is calibrating a Breitling mean? How i it done?
4. What movements re used in the Breitling? Does Breitling make its own movements? Will the Swatch Group stop giving its movements in the next couple of years?
5. What is the noise and strange vibrations my watch makes?
6. What is SuperQuartz?
7. What is an AR coating in crystals? What is the bluish tinge? What is the difference between saphhire and mineral crystal? Are thet genuinely scratch resistant?
8. Why don't the Breitling watches have the words "Swiss made" on the dial? What do the T & L alongside this Swiss Made phrase mean in some watches?

I have made the FAQ page Live.. but I still haven't published all the Questions yet.. still working on it. Wanted to get the page laid out with a few questions first. Let me know what you guys think so far!

So far, I think the FAQ section looks great. The only thing I'd like to change (apart from maybe adding more stuff into the FAQ later) would be to make it more visible from the index page. That's probably your intention anyway after receiving feedback, I guess.

Good call, Aleister.. Maybe I will change the section name to "Articles & FAQ" on the main menu so people know to click on there.

I wonder why no one else is commenting.. maybe they didn't notice that i updated this old thread ;)

I like it. Think that you should put the link to mechanical servicing, just like you did with the quartz servicing and add Chrono Seawolf by the M1 when talking about operating push pieces underwater.

Woops! I forgot to close a tag so the link didn't show up :) Fixed! Good point about the Chrono Seawolf, thanks bnewbie!

I'll be adding some more FAQ's today, time permitting.

I was ignoring it because I promised some vintage FAQs and haven't got around to it yet

I've got some time off over Christmas so will try and make up for my tardiness then.

ROCK ON! I just noticed this thread being updated and checked out the FAQ section. I was really stoked to see a few of my suggestions made it!!!

ps: grammer error in Fact 2's answer (hint hint.... "you watch") ;)

OK...here it goes. PROUD NEW Breitling owner and first time Automatic owner ('09 Avenger Seawolf :D ) Please bare with me. I saw something earlier in the FAQ section regarding watch winders and their rest period for the watch to wind down to lessen tension on mainspring. My question is...can an automatic watch be worn 24/7 OR should it be given a "rest period" to lessen tension on the mainspring??? Should I let it completely wind down from time to time??? PLEASE reply with any thoughts. Thanks guys!

Regards, Devin

It will be OK because for at least part of that 24 hour period you will be sleeping which (I assume) involves little movement and therefore provides an opportunity for tension to be released on the mainspring. It doesn't need to wind right down, just shouldn't be kept fully wound all the time.
