I recently purchased my first Breitling - an older Aerospace 'Repitition Minutes' model, never worn, in box with all papers, from a source in FL. I have no concerns that this is anything but advertised, NOS, actually purchased in Italy where this source has a connection. The watch is beautiful and it was well worth the wait. I've been lusting after Breitlings for many years, more than 20, and have tried to quell my desire with a Tag Chronograh, and more recently a Fortis (both great watches!)

Meanwhile I am selling my 10-yr old Fortis Flieger in the hopes of buying another Breitling. And I am watching another NOS model, a J Class Windrider, also quartz movement, and also new in box, etc.

I travel for 2 weeks each month to China, and I don't want to be burdened with using a winder, hence my leaning towards quartz movements.

Comments regarding NOS models ?

Stuart

Nothing wrong with NOS at all. For mechanicals you need to service as the oil has likely broken down, for quartz the thing to check is whether it has been stored with the battery in or out, and if in, whether it has leaked - that's obviously a problem.

Otherwise, assuming that the watch was stored somewhere free of moisture and temperature extremes you should be fine.

Old World are totally legit, as is the story of how they got the pieces (with some dramatic license obviously). Not the greatest pricing, but very good watches, though not too many left.
