Weird,
All my friends know that I am a watch-nut and always comment on them, I get the occasional comment from other people as well, however as soon as I swapped the Pro2 to the Blue Leather on my SA, I have never had so many nice comments and admiring glances from people about my watch

Anyone else have similar stories?
What Breitling of yours gets others talking about it? :lingsrock:

Of the three that ive owned (Colt II, Steelfish, Skyland), the Skyland definitely gets noticed most and receives the most comments.

To be honest I tend to keep my watches hidden by my sleeve most of the time, and people don't tend to notice my Steelfish much anyway. However, I tend to get a similar reaction from people with the other 5 - "wow, that's an impressive/big/shiny watch", is the common thing! I think that unless people really know watches they mainly notice them because of the size and the the fact that they are polished. As I say, I don't go out of my way to show them off, but it's nice when people notice and take the time to say something.

Just as an aside I used to have a white dial SA that I had on blue croco for a while, and I have to say it really does look impressive, and it DID get a lot of attention. Here is my old one -

I actually really miss this one. *sniff* :(

I'm telling you, there's something to be said for the leather strap!! It's like sophistication you wrap around your wrist (not to mention it's cheaper, so win-win there!)

So I was showing off my new M1 last week (speaking of folks who know nothing of watches), and as the guy is looking at it another guy walks in the office. Guy 1 passes the watch to guy 2 and asks what he thinks I paid for it. Guy 2 responds with "That's an incredibly expensive watch I can tell, I think he paid no less than $250 for it." Guy 1 (obviously pleased with himself now because he loves giving me a hard time) tells guy 2 "That watch is titanium, you still think it's $250" to which Guy 2 changed his appraisal to $350. :guns:

Whatcha gonna do? Some people know watches, some don't. All I know is I like what I have, don't mind paying what I paid for it, and damn the rest!

And that, my friend, is the best way be!

My shiny, beautiful Chronomat Evo (no longer with me -- sob!)
used to get lots of attention. And there was always the "Gee, how much does
a watch like that cost, about three or four hundred?" question.
Most people who oohed and aahed thought it was a Rolex (naturally)
and had never heard of Breitling. I stopped telling the truth about
the price when some questionable-looking chaps in a bar made me
realize they would like to own it. I got the hell out of there.
You can't be too careful wearing an expensive watch! :?

My Skyland on an Ocean Racer. Love the way the watch looks. I find my self looking at it when I am killing time.

I stopped by a jewelry store in the mall yesterday, wearing the white baton SA with pro2. I asked to see a pair of earings for the wife and the nice lady behind the counter said, "wow, that's a nice uh, uh, what is that.....an invicta?" I said no, it's not an invicta, thanks anyway though.

Invicta??? you should have slapped her hahahaha jk.

My white baton SA with pro2 gets tons of attention. In fact, today while eating out at my favorite sushi restaurant, 2 people complimented my watch.

My dad also gets compliments for his emergency mission which I gave him for his 50th b-day this year.

I used to get lots of attention with my Coral dial Emergency, specifically from Dragon Flies of all things!!

I too, like Driver8 with his SA wish I never sold it, but it was at a time of in-decisiveness about watches.

I'm about to buy a 24mm brown leather to interchange between my Navi World and Super Avenger.

Of my current collection, my SA grabs the most attention!

IMHO the coral dial against the titanium is one of the most impressive combinations of any watch, maybe I'll pick up another one day especially with the UTC like yours!

For me it's usually my Legende or the AS BS depending on what I'm wearing.

I have noticed that the Complications 19 is largely ignored on bracelet but gets noticed on the blue croc.
