About 10’years ago it seemed like my watch wouldn’t wind in its own or even work when I wound it manually. So she went in the box to wait until I could send it out and then promptly didn’t really think about it again. I had a Seiko I wore to work everyday (have since given that to my son) and usually just wear my Planet Ocean all the time for about the past 5 years.

Fast forward to yesterday and my 17 year old who is getting into watches asked to see my Breitling, he just saved up and bought a Hamilton Frogman btw, so I said sure and took it out. While I was showing it to him I unscrewed the pusher, hit the chrono button and the second had started moving. What the hell? So I wound it up, set the time and it’s been spot on for the last 15 hours. Ran the chrono for about 45 minutes, worked perfectly. So I decided I’d roll the dice and see if it works.

There’s a chance (very good one since I’m a dumbass half the time) that I had looked at the large second hand all those years ago and thought it wasn’t working. I don’t know how I’d do that since I wore it all the damn time but I’ve done dumber shit.

Anyway, this is it…for now.
