New Corvette Z06. Bone stock except sway bars. He knew how to drive, just not what to buy. Too much computer, not enough engine.

Congratulations on your Z06. I'm sure others may argue but this is the best looking Corvette yet in a long line of American muscle car tradition. I love your story about the dealers marking up from the MSRP. I say good luck to them in today’s economy. When I was in the car business I always thought we lost business by pulling this crap. Who in their right mind turns away a guy who is willing to pay full sticker price. Never made any sense to me? Anyways this is some car BoneDoc!

The problem with these when they are used is that you end up wearing a watch with someone else's initials on - seems to me if you can spend that much that you would want it to be 'yours'.

As has also been said on here before - it's not that attractive.

Where are the initials located on this watch? I did not see anything that resembled this on the case back?

I also noticed that the Mulliner Tourbillon is a manual wind watch. Do Tourbillon watches ever have an automatic movement? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

I do like how whoever owned this watch originally bought both the solid gold bracelet and croco deplayant. Maybe this is how it comes, either way that is a lot of gold.

Also didn't notice initials (they are not obligatory).
All tourbillons are manual wind.
I don't think they come with both bracelet and strap.

Hope you got your deposit back. I fortunately did. Other wise that dealer would have had a strange fire. Kidding, but I would have had to sue his ass. CL550 is a cool MB. My wife just bought an E63 AMG. I never understood the appeal of MBs, I do now.

 That's where your watch fund goes Doc!

I've always been BMW fan myself, and a Benz never really appealed.......... until I met my g/f who has a CLK55 AMG. Gave the M3 a run for it's money!

The initials are on a plate that's screwed onto the movement just to the right of the back of the tourbillon cage (the thing with the serial number on it). You can't read them, but in picture 10 you can see that there are two initials on the plate (bottom left of the picture).

Incidentally, this is a very early one - number 3. The serial is always 1884BXXX - the first part of the serial is obvious!.

If you want to see the initials plate a little better look at the Bentley book for this year - there's a photo of the movement of 0001 in there.

We did get it back. It took all until about a month ago to get it though. We ended up with an SL as well.
