Hi!

This is my first post.

While viewing Breitling.com and the Super Avenger i can see a difference between a dial there and a dial on ebay.

If you see this picture below;

And match it with the Avenger on Breitling.com you can see a difference on the number 8.

Why is that?

Yours,

Richard.

Well heres another question: Are the sub dials supposed to be silver like that? We had a discussion about this on the other forum and an SA was classified as fake because of the silver subs.

They appear more silver because of the angle and lighting. Old and poor fakes have really silver subs, new SA rep, as you can see here http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4390 has better subs nuance. I don't think this one is fake.

Date window doesn't look too clever!

10 to 4 and half way between a date change - mmm something not right even if it is genuine.

Yeah, that's a common symptom of a damaged date change mechanism.

Technically they are what Breitling call "silver", they aren't flat white, but you are right when you say they can look more silver in different lights.

Breitling's take on silver has always struck me as a little odd. My World, 6.75 and Steelfish are all silver dials, but they always look more like ivory or cream to me.
