Hello, I am a big watch fan and have a couple of Rolex watches but am looking at buying a Brietling. I found a FRECCE TRICOLORI Chronomat 44 new at a Sam's Club today. I had never seen this watch and it took some digging around to find out what it was. Anyway they want $5000 for it. I am thinking about buying it. Does anyone have any opinions on the watch and price? This is one of the limited edition of 1000. Thank you.

Here is an article from when it was first introduced, https://www.ablogtowatch.com/breitling- ... ori-watch/, unless you have personal connection to these limited editions you may find them difficult to sell if you ever go that route. Could be the reason you found it at Sam's Club. I would pass, with all the new models that Breitling is introducing I would go with a newer model rather than one that has been collecting dust for five years!!

If you don't mind buying pre-owned then u might want to consider getting a preowned with a lower price instead. Unless if you are a Frecce Tricolori die hard fan or have personal connection with the team, you might grow tiresome of the watch after sometime so getting it preowned with a much lower price reduces your loss should you decide to sell the watch one day.

Being a big fan of the Chronomat, I don't encourage getting this particular one because even though limited editions are "special" and "limited", I generally do not fancy watches that specially associate to a person, team or event, because I do not have any attachments to them and overtime I might get tiresome of the associated logo and design that do not "make sense" to me. However if you like the design so much that you feel it's the best looking one among the entire range then go ahead and pull the trigger. However I have ever liked such editions before simply because of the design that I do not find in the regular range. One example is the Chronomat Breitling Jet Team Black Steel (Boutique version). I would have gotten that if I am rich enough.
