Question of the Breit-lerati:
Semi-stupid question from a newb-but-learning: I have noticed a discrepency vs change in the dial of the SA. My 2008 official Breitling catalog (and virtually every pic of one online) shows all SAs with arabic numerals around the dial and all with white subdials. The Breitling website shows all dials with double marks at the hours, similar to a chronomat, with color matched subdials. Is this the newer model? Is it a limited edition? Do I need to up my medication? I really like the one on the website now, but if is only temporary I will have to bear an impressive wrath from my wife and buy it soon. Fill me with knowledge O' connected ones!

The baton / colour matched subdials are an expansion of the model, introduced this year in addition to the arabics that have been around for a while.

So it is available both with or without either the numerals (which I can do without) as well as the matched color subdials (which I really like)?

There are six models in the SA range (seven if you include the LE Blacksteel):

White arabics with white subs
Black arabics with white subs
Blue arabics with white subs
White batons with white subs
Black batons with black subs
Blue batons with blue subs

I think I got it. "white dial w/ arabics and white subs" right? I thought you were saying that the actual arabics and batons were colored white.

Correct - sorry, should have put a comma after the colour to make it clearer.

Here, let me make up for it:

Wow! Those photos of the SA with Black dial and batons are outstanding! I never was a big fan of the SA, but that is definitely changing my mind. That black dial with the batons looks great, and all with the stainless bracelet - a real winner!
Cheers,
Carl

ps I found the Japan website the best place to compare all of the dial combinations. Use this link, then click on "Fittings" at the Japan website:
