Of the roughly 100 watches I've owned, only 1 was bouht from an AD and a couple direct from smaller companies. The amount of money I've saved buying 90% condition or higher watches from the sales forums can not be ignored. It is easily in the tens of thousands. Sure there is some risk, but in my experience, buying smart and doing your homework eliminates 99% of the risk. I have no regrets and will continue to buy my watches from the sales forums and enjoy he savings.

I understand that this is not for everyone, but it works for me.

I totally agree with you on that. Do extra research and assure yourself it is a smart buy. The savings is worth it!

I did tons of research on this site. Just purchased my first Ling from a AD that was recommended on this site over the phone. Had the watch in 2 days, paid no sales tax. Service was excellent! Discount was much better than my local AD, and beat the gray market sites.

Totally agree that and AD gives you piece of mind and service.

Time & Gold in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have been dealing there for 10 years, and 4 watches later including 3 Breitlings. Would not think of dealing anywhere else. Had a couple of small issues with the watches, they solved in an instant, with no questions asked. They did a complete servicing for me, my 1997 SuperOcean, and it came back like new, although I actually ended up trading it with them for a good deal on my
Avenger Skyland Blacksteel.
They are the best!
Cheers,
Carl

Purchased my Avenger Skyland in Dubai on 11 Oct 08; AD was always my solution for the piece of mind. I had many watches in the past, but never bought one on-line. I completed many on-line purchases, but it was all for the items up to $1K...

Purchased mine from an AD that has a connection to my local jewelry store. Price was 30% off with no sales tax and had it in 5 business days. I felt comfortable with this was b/c I have a good relationship with the jeweler and I can walk to his shop if I have any problems. Local AD here would only go 17%.

As a side note, does anyone know how to look up the AD that is in the back of my warranty book? The listing on Breitlings site can't seem to find it properly.

Thanks

All ADs are listed on the site.

I got my first from an AD whilst on holiday in the cayman Islands last year. The difference in price between the UK and there was £700. I was well chuffed.
