The oldest I've had was a Longmore from 1939. Tasted really good, but then it was $100/cl...

I personally HATE Scottish whiskey, so it does not impress me, what impresses me is how old some of them are, and how people will pay astronomical amounts of money for them.

To each his own.

Frequent flyer miles - comes about from a love of travel. My wife and I should hit about 100,000 miles each this year on our holidays and various trips.

Scotty Cameron putters - the Patek Philippe of putters. Some of them are real works of art fetching tens of thousands of dollars on ebay.

Breitlings - I guess three counts as a collection, right?

for you drink collectors I have a few bottles of dom for sale if anyone interested :)

I have to double check on the yr though. I want to say 95 and 99

'95 or '99 are both Dom Perignon years but they aren't rare enough for private sale. You can buy a '99 at my local Costco! Unless it is a case anything from the 80s and further back could probably warrant a single bottle sale.

My father is into the malt whiskey thing. I can't appreciate it as much as he but I'll try something if he says it is really good. Had had a 40yr old Macallan with him before.

Don't really collect anything. I have many passions, and own 14 Swiss watches, personally age over 2000 cigars at home, and have 4 Macs and 2 PCs. But these were bought to use, and not to complete a collection or anything.

Of course you can use your collection while collecting! I'm using my whisky collection (and re-stock it) all the time! :)
