Looks like a new 41mm Colt automatic with same design as the 44mm model has been introduced. I like the idea of a smaller piece, wonder if they will also follow with the quartz version in 41mm.

Yes I think offering a 41mm Colt is a good play by Breitling. The Colt is typically an entry level piece, so they need to compete with companies offering more traditionally-sized/smaller pieces. 41mm puts it in Omega SMP / Tudor BB territory, and that's a market that Breitling can ill-afford to ignore. Good move.

Plus it's a handsome piece. No horrible overlapping numbers, well balanced dial, more traditional bezel, no "Bucks" in sight. I like it a lot.

And if only Breitling got their backside's in gear to FINALLY produce a bl**dy three-hand movement in-house, that could even have been a Submariner alternative.

Talking of a three-hand "in-houser", I remember an interview with Girardin back in 2012 when he claimed they were working on just such a movement, but were struggling to price it right as most of their sales are chronographs. Four years later and we're still waiting.

I understand Breitling's cash-cow lines are not the (historically-named) Aeromarine models, but even so, in these times of the major companies moving away from outsourced ETA/Sellita movements, a simple, workhorse, in-house three-hander makes huge sense to me. Tudor are selling the in-house BB for £2500 which is a bargain of astounding proportions, so I'm not sure why Breitling can't produce what is a relatively simple movement when compared to the B01 to use in the "higher end" models in the dive range. After all, there's a HUGE market for three-hand dive watches and producing a genuine challenger/alternative to the PO and the Sub seems like a fairly obvious business idea to me..... :huh

That's a very nice looking piece indeed Terry. Just a simple classic design for the ages; great to see. Fingers crossed on a quartz variant, which would be a no-brainer for me given the lower price might attract some buyers.

Loving that!

Is it brushed or polished?

Hard to tell, - it looks polished in the 'view 360' mode but brushed on the intro page.

Would love it even more if it was brushed

@Kodiak, they still have the blue dial Colt 41 Auto at Continental. Take the Oris back...listen to your heart.

Someone asked above, Colt 41 is polished on the lugs and case sides.

Everything is pretty much polish finish, except the bezel.
