Lings are axpensive pieces of kit. The last thing anyone wants to do is damage one! Are there any safe and effective ways to clean the outside?

Warm soapy water and soft tooth brush. Give it a good scrub, rinse then paper towel dry, then let air dry. That's it. Cape cod when necessary

I think it also depends on waterresistance and strap - not the same way cleaning a min. 100 m WR watch with screw-down crown and metal bracelet or a 3 ATM watch w/o screw-down crown and leather strap. I'd be also happy to learn the "how-to" for the latter type of Ling...
