Hello All,

I recently purchased my first Breitling watch and have a really simple question.

How does the Second hand with the "B" move? Mine is set firmly at the 12 o'clock position and cannot figure out how to get it to run.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

That's the chronograph seconds hand. Press the top pusher to start the chronograph, the top one again to stop it and the bottom one to reset everything.

Welcome!

The 6.75 is a great watch. Which dial color did you get?

Very strange, when I press either the top side button OR bottom, nothing moves. The hand is stuck on the 12 position.

I bought the watch brand new???

Sorry if this sounds daft, but firstly, is the subdial with the seconds running? If nothing is moving (not even one of the subdial hands) then your watch is not running and will need winding up first.

Secondly if it is running, have you pressed the top pushpiece hard enough? As it's a mechanical watch there is a definite "click" before it will engage. It's not like a digital watch where only the lightest of touches is required. Obviously you don't need to press it TOO hard, but you will definitely feel more resistance than on something like a Casio.

If it still doesn't work, then you'll need a trip to your AD.

Correct, the subdial seconds hand is running, the date is moving and it's keeping time correctly but the hand with the "B" does not seem to move :(

It's weird that new genuine Breitling's chronograph doesn't work. But from the previous it sounds to me like a warranty case..

AH! I got it to work! :)

Turns out I had to press on the top button a little harder than I was pressing. I immediately heard a "click" and the hand started to move.

Thank you all for your help!

Which was my second point on my last post! :D Glad it's OK.
