Hi guys,

I am about to pull the trigger on my first purchase. I am doubting between the Skyland Avenger and the Chrono Superocean.

Both of them with black dial.

One is 45mm one is 42mm...

What should I pick as a first one? I work as a Restaurant Manager and will use this watch as my daily beater.

Please advise....

Excellent - great position to be in.

Have you tried either/both on?

That would be the first place to start IMHO. Then the one which calls the loudest will be the one.

If you've tried both and still can't decide then I guess it comes down to a combination of:

Size, Movement, Features, Weight, Style of Markers.

As the movements are the same it comes to size against the features I guess.

One has day/date the other date only - one has batons the other arabic markers (unless new ones available in other dials).

I reckon most would say Skyland but my choice would be the Colt. That said I haven't looked at either in the flesh so that's only based on looking at the pics and specs.

More help will no doubt follow.

Good luck and have fun choosing.

Both similar. Try them on and buy the one that looks and feels better.

Thanks, I appreciate that. More suggestions always welcome. BTW, I get a 3100 deal on the Super Ocean and 3400 on the Skyland.

Please take these prices in consideration as well....

Those prices are close enough to each other that you shouldnt let them influence your decision. $300 over many, many years of use is peanuts.

I would go with the Skyland. I just really like the "wrist presence" of the larger watches.

Agreed on the price. Personally I like the appearance of the AS better, but the only thing you can (and should) do is as BB suggests. Go and try them both on, keep them on for a while and then you'll notice which one that will be the hardest to give back to the AD.

If you wear suits every day, CSO is better choice because it's smaller and has more classic look than AS IMHO.

Hi, i have a cso and i work in a personal care manufacturing facility. the cso is great and in my opinion, more classic/ timeless in appearance. also for meeting clients, the cso imho, is a bit more "managerial". just my humble opinion. i also like the skyland and also considered the sa before buying the cso. when i considered the many things/ constant coming and going in the plant, i decided to go with a smaller watch that was sturdy, has a day, date (something the sa and skyland doesn't have). If the day date is important for you, the cso may be great. but yyou really should try them all before buying but i can tell you that the cso would be a great buy. Good luck :D

I am in the same boat.

I have it narrowed down to these two as well. I am leaning towards the SA because I believe it is more sporty and has a presence that the SO doesn't. But as the others have said, the SO works very well in a business environment and has understated sophistication.

Not sure which I will pick, but will be buying this week...

Good luck with your choice.

Both nice watches. But if your wrist is large enough,
I'd go with the Skyland. It has a presence that is comfortable
in any situation. :)

I own the Skyland and this is my every day watch. It works well with both casual and more formal attire. It is a big watch and definitely has a presence, but it's not too big to be a distraction at work. If want to do that I recommend stepping up to the Super Avenger. Overall I am very pleased with the AS and it's versatility.

You really can't go wrong with your choice. Good luck and congratulation on whatever you decide.

No real price difference - go with the one that looks best.
