For sale is my beautiful Breitling Transocean Chronograph Limited, Reference AB015112/BA59 and numbered 221/2000. This is the 43mm steel-cased variant with the black dial and silver sub-dials, and sports the Ocean Classic mesh bracelet. Note also the gold applied Breitling “B” logo that adds an extra touch of class to this limited release over the standard Transocean Chronograph.

The limited edition Breitling Transocean Chronograph was announced at Basel 2010 as the precursor to the revival of the Transocean name and range that has grown significantly in the years since. At the time, it was heralded as one of the most beautiful watches modern-Breitling had produced, with particular praise for this combination of case, dial and bracelet, which was used by more than any other by Breitling to publicise the release.

I have owned this watch since mid-2012, and I would be surprised if I have worn it more than a dozen times. It comes with everything that was in the box when new, and based on the TimeZone rating system, I would rate this mint or near mint, with just some very light scratches on the buckle - I have no doubt it would suit the fussiest new watch buyer. The photos are of the actual watch and cover it comprehensively, but if anyone wants to see something specific, just ask and I’ll do my best to capture that for you. Some of the photos have it on a black strap just to show how nice and versatile it is, but the strap and buckle shown are not included in the sale.

The price is US$4000, which includes signed for and tracked express post to almost anywhere in the world. Sorry, but I'm not interested in trades at this time.

I’d prefer payment in AU$ (about AU$5500), but we can talk about that remembering that someone may have to pay for the exchange of currency. I’ll accept payment by direct deposit/wire transfer into my bank account or PayPal with the buyer to pay the transaction fee (varies depending on funding source and country). I will also accept payment through a money order, bank cheque or personal cheque, provided you understand that I will not send the watch until the funds have cleared. Extra insurance cover up to AU$5000 is available at the buyer expense at a rate of approximately AU$30 per AU$1000.

The watch is located in country New South Wales, so I doubt anyone would want to come and have a look or pick it up; however, if you do, you are more than welcome. Apart from that, I travel to Canberra almost weekly, so the watch can be inspected there too. The Australia Post website indicates 3-5 days to deliver to metropolitan areas of major cities in 200 countries around the world, but I would factor in 7 working days.

Finally, I have mostly been a buyer of watches, and have rarely sold. That said, to give you peace of mind, I have proof (references?) of a few transactions that I can share, or you can look me up on eBay where I have been a member for 15 years with a 100% positive rating of nearly 700. I’ll provide my eBay username on request.
