Is this normal? I have a super ocean and have had it for about 6 months. I've noticed twice now when I go to self wind the watch after it has stopped running that as soon as I start winding it the watch vibrates pretty strongly initially and then stops.

Should I be worried or is this normal with automatic watches? I also have a montbrilliant but haven't had it happen with that watch.

I have noticed similar with my Colt Ocean a few years ago and shortly after it died and needed a full service. Mind you, it has not seen a watch maker since I bought it 10 years earlier.

It sounds like the rotor is not disengaging so winding the crown is spinning the rotor. Minor issue but needs servicing attention.
