I generally prefer quartz watches. And I am a huge fan of divers watches as well. So M1 is an obvious choice for me.

Same here, I own several, but am partial to M1. Tech nut. Love waterproofness. Size of watch is not as noticeable in Ti. Large shiny stainless can be too showy. Used mechanicals are expensive to maintain. I throw a quartz on , & know time is correct.

I generally don't like bracelets, so I ordered some blue rubber straps. Until they arrive I have put it on gray Obris Morgan strap. I think it will do nicely in the meantime.

Hey,

Great start to your Breitling collection....

If you are unaware, you can get a fibre pen that you can use to brush out minor scratches on the titanium.

It takes a bit of courage, but it truly works, especially on the bracelet.

I use mine for my Emergency when needed.

Enjoy the M1. I had one for ages, sold a year or so ago, and it's missed.

Take care.

Davey.

Just curious why you like Quartz over automatic. If it's an accuracy thing why not a g shock

It is the same argument as 'if you like automatic, why don't you get Seiko 5 for 50 bucks'. Nothing against G shocks, I thought they were cool when I was 16.

I had autos exclusively for 30 or so years and got tired of them. Right now I think that quartz is, to put it simply, superior.

Touché. I have had some cheap automatics in the past; one that sticks out in my mind was a bulova. Nothing really wrong with it except for the power reserve and accuracy.

From your post it sounds like all Quartz movements are superior to all automatics.

Very nice watch!

I love a high-end auto winding movement but have to admit that quartz is far superior in every objective measure of a watch. Breitling's versions are simply the best.

Nothing like that. I simply appreciate quartz a lot more than I did in the past. And Breitling thermo-compensated super quartz movement is just outstanding IMO.

I have heard nothing but good stuff when it comes to the super Quartz.

I love the M1. Had 3 dial colours but the black still still evades me! Enjoy yours, it looks good :)

Couldn't agree with you more. I have had dozens of quartz watches over the years and never had a single problem. I just got my first automatic in September, an Avenger chronograph. The chrono pusher stopped working after 3 weeks on a barely 2 year old watch. Just got it back from Breitling today a month and almost $500 later, so I'm a little disillusioned with autos. I'm thinking of selling it and getting an M1 just like yours. I've always liked titanium watches. I've been wearing my Luminox titanium while the Breitling was in for service. Put the stainless Avenger on today and it felt like I strapped a brick to my wrist. Lol

Try strapping on a gold or platinum watch and your stainless will feel like straw.
