I have been meaning to post some proper photos of this watch... a Navitimer from 1955.

Among the first Venus 178 Navitimers, with a serial of 8682xx... does anyone know approximately what serial number indicated the "switchover" from Valjoux 72 cases to Venus 178?

I hope you enjoy the photos.......

Eric

Haha, very good question. I noticed the vintage JB Champion Mesh were always a little narrower than the lugs, and found it gave the watch a certain look which I liked... The narrower bracelet maintains the vintage vibe while on the wrist, and emphasizes the dial. It's a wonder to me that more modern bracelet manufacturers don't make a tapered bracelet which is narrower than the lugs ...

And, perhaps most importantly... I didn't have any straps that seemed to match right, but I'm working on that ;-)

If you like it, it's right! I'm asking, because JB had also a 22mm Version...
