I have seen tons of pictures of the Headwind but have never seen it in person. And I have read that the dial is some kind of special silver with the letters cut out to show through.

My question is whether the white dial version is the same, or is it just painted white with black letters printed on it? It also looks like a bunch of different colors in different pictures and is called white, cream, and several other names, but I'm assuming there's just one "white" dial option.

The white dial is not the same; it's printed. I was kind of upset about this when I got my Headwind as I was unaware of this, but It turned out I loved it anyway.

Also, there is only one "white" dial and I would call it cream, since its an off-white with sort of a slight texture to it (not sure how to describe it)
