Hi all,
darn those Top Time Panda 810s are highly addictive!

I found a RG one on ebay with a Venus 178 movement. It looks like a Gen 2 case, with a 'reverse panda' dial, and I was immediately drawn to the RG-plated case.

The dial (which seller says is not redialled) looks correct to me, and the crown too. The movement looks OK too?

I would like to ask the experts on the forum - are there any red flags about the watch, and is the RG case for real? I could not find many examples on the web, which made me a little suspicious. Plus the seller is a fairly new one on ebay, so any opinions would help.

Thanks in advance!

yes, they are addictive.
case seems to have been replated, but excellent work, would not see that as an issue.

Thanks Fred for the quick reply! I found an additional pic which shows this:

I tried googling "Plaque O R G" like the picture shows , and all I can tell is that based on the writing, it's 20 microns thick of plating.

Does this mean the case started off being say YG, but got replated to RG? Or did it start off as RG, then got replated as RG? Is there any way to tell?

Thanks again Fred!

It seems a little strange that the gold markings between the lugs would be so sharp if the case was replated. Examples I've had replated have either lost the original gold markings completely or they are VERY hard to see.

Possibly. I think that's where Craig sent my Chronomat 2508 so hope your right. That doesn't look like rose gold around the movement unless that's a before pic.
