I was recently offered a vintage Breitling Datora ref. 2031 which appears to be a late 1960s or early 1970s model. I was hoping to get some form of authentication before proceeding with the purchase. It's a very cool watch, but I'm not sure if the bezel is original either. I know they
mostly came with a two-tone bezel, but perhaps some of the earlier versions came with the all-black bezel. I attached some photos of the watch, but I don't have any photos of the Valjoux 7734 or the inside caseback (for the serial number) since I don't have the watch in my possession and the seller does not have the knowledge or tools to remove the back.

I would really appreciate any insight from the experts here. You guys are the best and thank you in advance.

I can't read the serial number either. I've requested it from the seller and will report back ASAP. Thanks so much!

Update: The serial number is 1262XXX. I think that would date it to 1969?

1262x would most probably be very late 1968, '69 started with 126295x.

so a very early 2031.
