I absolutely love those Colt GMTs. It's the watch which leapt out of my first catalogue and drew me to Breitlings. At the time I used to look at them in dealers, typically of course under bright lights, and decide that in polished steel they were just too bling for me. If I knew then what I knew now I'd just have swapped it onto rubber or leather. Doh.

I have my SuperOcean, which is also of course polished S, on black rubber and love it.

It's a little large isn't it ??

Only joking about the photo size .
It's a beautiful watch .
I was looking at a Scott carpenter years ago but decided it was too big for my wrist .
Looking at today's watches , my 39mm chronomat is tiny !!

Today I wasn't really wearing this , merely in my local dealers trying one on for size ....

My very first Breitling was a big case Chronomat 818. I bought it in 2006 and loved it until it was stolen in 2012.

I've wanted to replace that Chronomat ever since but they're as rare as hens' teeth. Since my interest in Chrono- matics has grown over time it seems like this 1806 is a good replacement.

A nice touch is that I bought this from the same guy as the original 818. I'm thinking about getting a display back for it. Wasn't there a guy doing DBs for these?
