For sale is a STUNNING vintage Breitling 806 (circa 1969 according to the serial number) Navitimer in excellent condition. Since receiving the piece, I have upgraded the strap to a Lizard skin strap with vintage Breitling twin planes buckle (pictured below) that really makes it look awesome. I don't find myself wearing it as much as I thought I would as I am scared of scratching it, so I believe it's time for a new home. The piece runs and keeps time perfectly, as it was freshly serviced before I received it. The piece is absolutely beautiful and you'll be proud to own such a piece of history. The piece does NOT have any boxes or papers; only comes as pictured. It does include an official Breitling travel case however. The case back has the model, make, and serial number 100% visible and intact.

Please excuse any fingerprints, dust, etc. in the pictures. Should you require better or more specific pictures, I am happy to assist without issue and will respond promptly via PM.

Asking for *Reduced* £2800 ONO shipped via insured postage with Royal Mail/Parcel force. Payment accepted is either bank transfer or PayPal (buyer pays paypal fees of 3%).

International buyers are subject to actual shipping costs and currency conversions equal to that of the GBP asking price.

Please, no trades. Thank you in advance for respecting this request. Any questions, please PM me. I will reply as promptly as possible.

Any reason for the interest? Unfortunately home improvements and recovery from my wedding two weeks ago force the sale..

well, yes, there is a reason. the dial and sliderule are "boxed 10", produced in 1967 only, so surprised to see them on a 1970 Navitimer.

Not sure what you mean by that... I should have rechecked the serial year when I posted the watch up for sale. My bad.

I don't think that is right. The boxed 10 is not specific to 1967 but is found on 1968 and later 806's. I have a perfectly original 1968 and it has a boxed 10. I have seen later 806's with a boxed 10. Whether it is down to a service replacement or other I don't know but it is quite common. Incidentally O&W navis all have boxed 10's and they where produced from stock purchased from Breitling's demise ...

Lovely watch by the way, very clean and looks like a gem ... are you open to negotiation ?

Well , thats a bit of the crux here , isnt it ?, if its down to service replacement , it didnt leave the factory like that when they were originally made ?, no one questions the originality of the parts , just whether or not it left the factory this wat when they were first made

That is a loaded remark , what other companies did with the old stock after they bought it and how they mixed and matched it , doesnt really have any bearing here ? , it wasnt Breitling so we should leave O&W out of this discussion
