I'm new here, so hi everyone.
Today i picked up my second breitling ( i also have a navitimer which i've owned for 19 years).

It's a Chrono and the serial number dates it to 1945. But i'm unable to find any other details about the watch, like model number and movement info. And also does it look original, or as near as.
A friend pointed me to this forum and said you may be able to help. Thanks for letting me join.

Here's a phone picture of the watch. As well as the serial number on the caseback it also has 178 stamped underneth the serial number.
It all works and so far since this morning when i picked it up is keeping perfect time. Don't worry, the nasty strap is going in the bin.

welcome to the forum; perfectly correct and nice, a GP ref. 178; movement is a column wheel Venus 170.
launched in the late 1930 as part of the "Populaires" entry level line.
