No, I wont create another poll but wanting to know just what sort of action or excercise your Ling gets if any.

Seems like a lot get pampered and do not get taken out amongst the great outdooors.

I'm happy using my Steelfish for all that kind of thing because a) it's my beater/knockaround watch, and b) it's designed for it.

The others are worn simply to the office or about town. I don't really fancy risking a £5K Bentley at the beach or in the sea when my Steelfish is better equiped for that environment.

The SO and the rugged CA often visit the beach, other models not.

I've worn mine on a motorcycle but it made me paranoid enough not to want to do that again. I throw on a Citizen for that now ;)

The ASW will be on more than the SA

I wear my CA all of the time, any activity. It shows some wear, I like to think of it as character.

The seawolf and Cossie are more limited. Though if I didn't wear the CA everyday i would do the same with the seawolf.

On the beach, swimming, cross-country skiing, sauna, etc.: always with my CSO. Only drawback: no wet-suit extension on ProII. (the bracelet I highly prefer my watch wearing on - with having ALL possible accessories), that's why I'm considering to switch back to my ProI.
Two occasions without Ling: when I'm not alone in the bed - always without watch, and when on the bicycle: wearing my fantastic and unbreakable Casio G-Shock DW-5600 from year 1992...
For office or in town my Chrono Cockpit, sometimes my Aviastar. For evening occasions my Calatrava 3998 but wanna collect instead a used Grand Premier - better say two, a silver and a black dial for brow and for black croc strap.
Regards: Robertus

Robertus,

When do you wear your IWCs? I'm really starting to lust for one.

Do it, Steve, pull the trigger!! I can't get them out of my mind either. There's an AD around the corner from my office, and my tax return just landed.

As to the thread topic, the Orange Monster and the Pathfinder get all the beach time. My Ling gets very little action unfortunately.

Yep, absolutely......... within reason obviously!

Just remember, Breitlings will scratch just like any other watch, and being as it's an auto, your Skyland needs to avoid things like heavy impacts (so don't drop it onto concrete), bad vibrations (so take it off when you use a hammer-drill), strong magnetic fields (so don't wear it when you next work on a particle accelerator.... or (as is more likely!) don't leave it on top of your hi-fi speaker cabinets). Oh and try not to exceed the depth rating, but being as the Skyland has a 300m WR rating, if you were to exceed that, the well-being of your watch would be the least of your worries!!

I wear my SOH for that type of thing, mainly due to the case and strap
