1st post! Looking to restore my Grandfather's Breitling (maybe a 1959) that was given to me perhaps 30 years ago. It needs a crystal, a new crown, a hand reinstalled (I don't think it's actually broken), and I'm sure a service. The good news is that when I opened it up it looked clean inside, the main spring was intact, and the spring/balance seems to want to get back in action! I'll try to post some pics here, and perhaps folks will point me to someone who can be trusted to do the work. I'm so looking forward to wearing the watch in good working condition. I do not want the dial redone or anything more than necessary.
Thanks!
Greg

seems to be a 4502 "ultra-flat", Peseux movement; nice and correct piece, though finding the right hand will not be too easy.
contact member chronodeco by pm - he serviced the same watch (and some others...) for me and comes highly recommended by many members.

Edit: welcome to the forum !

Thanks! I did not even know what model it is. I'm adding another pic of the case back, if that helps. I appreciate the info, It looks like. to me. the hand came off its mount, not broken. I could be wrong as I did not remove the crystal for a good look, and my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Totally agree with Fred that Craig is superb. He services and restores all my vintage watches.
By the way when you said Fred is good words can not describe how good! He has helped myself and other vintage collectors.
unselfishly and is always there to help. You can learn a tremendous amount about vintage watches just reading his posts.
WELCOME TO BS!!

Best, Rick

Does anyone know the "Name or Model #" of this particular watch?
Thanks, I'm trying to dig up all the info available.

GReg

A couple pre-delivery photos! Beautiful work by Craig! Compare this to photos in the beginning of the thread.

Repair. Maybe one day I'll find a matching set to install.
