They're polishing cloths, so I'd have thought they do the exact opposite.

Use them everywhere where you want a polished surface. Be careful about the crystal though - you might damage the AR coating if you polish the crystal.

If you have metal parts you want to keep the satin/brushed look on, you can always mask these with a bit of masking tape before the polish.

Ive just ordered a couple of these from a local jewelery/craft store in Oz. I have been using cape cods so far and while they do a good job, Im not a huge fan of the greasiness and the vanilla smell. It will be good to try out something different.....

I'm with you Andy. Please let us know how they work for you and if you favor them over the Cape Cods... :)
Cheers,
Ron

I am managing to keep my week old cockpit pretty much scratch free though I have noticed very small swirls(I have no idea how they get there but they do!) so I will be ordering a few of these as well, Do they leave a perfect surface just as when the watch is new?

I think I might need to rescind my opinion on these cloths for a bit. I tried them again tonight, and im not sure if they are actually removing any scratches or not. They make the watch shinier, but I think it might just be because they are removing the grime and tarnish, and not actually doing anything to the metal...

Oh, and stock up...these things wear out fast. Ill reserve final judgment til the next time I bust out the cape cods.

Does the cloth turn black when you use it? If not then it is not removing metal.

I would love an alternative to Cape Cods as my wife can not tolerate the overwhelming vanilla smell in the house so I have been relegated to the deck for polishing jobs... cold in the winter :)

Anyone else? Really better than Cape Cods??

It does turn black. So easily in fact, that im convinced its only removing tarnish or something.

I've just ordered a pack of six off eBay.

I have Cape Cods and they work well on the metal but they tend to leave a pale stain on the rubber which then needs to be scrubbed off with a toothbrush. I've actually started using masking tape on the rubber to minimise this problem.

PS: My wife thinks I spend to much time polishing and not enough time on giving her foot rubs.

Thanks for the UK link Phill_78. Have just received some and am quite impressed....Less messy than Cape Cods. However they are now £3 each, plus postage.

Hi Guys,

It's about time that I finally gave my LING a nice polish. Still undecided about the Cape Cods or these sunshine cloths. Does anyone have any better quality pictures using these cloths?
