I am contemplating this one, but there are a few issues...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Breitling-Super ... TQ:US:1123

First, the lume dots look a little funny.

Second, there is no serial number on the caseback. The seller claims it may have been polished away over the course of many services. I think it is indicative of fake or best scenario of grey market. He sent an unclear follow-up picture which claims to show the serial number on the inside of the watch with the caseback off. I don't see it.

Thanks for your help.

Not the greatest photos, but looks OK to me. Movement shot doesn't show anything at that size.

Lume dots at 2 , 3, and 5 definitely look odd.

Thanks Roff. That's the best I can do with the movement pic. The way it is uploaded to ebay makes it difficult to capture and move. Yet another slightly suspicious aspect. I guess if I have this many reservations I should walk, huh?

Ducati, I agree. They look raised and mounded whereas the genuine article usually has flat or ever so slightly recessed lume dots. I guess it's a pass. Thanks.

I'm shopping for a Super Avenger. I know just enough about identifying a fake to be a danger to myself so I need some help. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes catch things that are missed by others. Please let me know what you think.

I'm seriously considering this watch. Does anyone know anything about this ebay seller?

http://www.ebay.com/usr/thebestswisswat ... 7675.l2559

They are from Israel and have about 125 positive feedback...some from fairly expensive watches. I'm just a little concerned as it is supposedly a NIB SAII for just over $3k. Must be fake or hot, right? The thing is...I'm not aware of any SAII fakes. Any input would be appreciated. Here are some pics...

Second link is real, other links aren't to watches (TZ is dead, eBay is to seller). Watch in photos for third watch aren't great but it looks ok.

Thanks.

I realize the last link is to the seller. Does anyone know anything about this particular seller? Had any dealings with them? Know if there are any decent SAII fakes around?
