Any predictions or leaks on Breitling's offering for Basel 2015?

Not really leaks, but two pre-releases already:

I'd add the TOC 1915 to the list of pre-Basel releases.

Is this pre-Basel release strategy something new for Breitling?

Also add the Colt Quartz 36.

I think they have put out early releases in the past years, not sure why, maybe to get interest out there so people will be inclined to visit the show (?)

I think they do pre releases to see what the reactions are and to see if the AD's already get demand for them so the AD's would buy more at Basel.

Anxious to see the price of the colt automatic chrono and chronoliner. Both are new and different pieces for the brand. Any idea how long preorders will take to receive after Basel is over?

Prices for the Chronoliner are known, see thread about the Chronoliner. Would put the link here but I'm on my phone...

Colt Automatic Chronograph costs 4840 EUR, price in Belgium, tax included (21%). That's for the steel on steel version.

To have an idea I would take out the tax, convert to US dollars and add your tax. Won't be exact but will give you a rough idea.

For anyone interested based on WIM'S point it looks like the Colt Chronograph Automatic should be priced around $4250 USD and the Chronoliner around $5850. Can't wait to pre-order one or both personally. Enjoy, thanks!

I think that's a bit low. At 4,000 Euros without tax the Colt is $4,475 at today's rates (US$1 = E0.89392), the Chronoliner at 5,650 Euros (mesh) or 6,280 Euros (Navitimer) becomes $6,320 / $7,025.

The Breitling B50 Cockpit display models will spontaneously combust and be replaced every time someone gets within four feet of them.

Stopped by my AD last night and was told that the list prices for the Chronoliner in the US were $8495 on the navi bracelet and $7650 on the Ocean Classic bracelet. The price on the Transocean 1915 on Ocean Classic bracelet is $9275.

That's a substantial premium over Europe (assuming tax out pricing). Symptomatic of the market to some extent, but competition for $ at those prices is high.
