Agree Riles, I wouldn't put it with that strap personally, not sure they 'go' together

It's also being offered with a Navitimer bracelet, in addition to the mesh.

Yea that's right, think it suits the Navitimer one better, with its chunky looks, would like to see it on a padded black calf too.

I like it better on the Navi bracelet. Overall, I like the ceramic bezel but still would prefer the 3-6-9 subdial layout. It's too big for me but I think it's a good sign of things to come, at least I'm hoping so.

They are trying, but what seems so confounding, personally at least, is that they have the right idea and execute it in a way that kills it for me. It's to me like a fine instrument just slightly off-tune.

Overall, I agree with most of Moana's critiques. But since you asked...

--46mm is too large. I'm glad everybody with large wrists (and I'm just over 7.5 in.) is getting watches for them, but I am, with the exception of a couple cheaper quartz bangers, at 42mm and frankly heading down.

--After living for nearly a decade with a Rolex GMT, I now believe the 1-12 old AVI bezel is an easier way to separate time zones. I'm not a big international traveler, but I don't think most of the people who get practical use out of these often go over 12 hours outside their home time.

--I know the 3-6-9 subdial setup is popular, but assuming we have a 7750 under the hood, 6-9-12 is fine with me as it was with many years of Navitimers. I think the root of the issue here is having a date complication.

--Great to have a bracelet option other than mesh. I like my mesh but having a Navitimer, or I'd think better yet that faceted bracelet the Blackbird used (can't believe I'm blanking on the name) is a very worthwhile option.

So, 46mm is a non-starter for me. Put this at 42 or 40mm, old AVI bezel (don't even need the GMT hand then) and this would be a very tempting piece.

I love it, but at 46mm it's too large for me. Make this is 42-44mm and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I like it a lot. especially on the navitimer bracelet. not so much on the mesh which suits the SOH better in my opinion. I would certainly consider it if I was in the market for a chrono. I presonnally prefer a 3/6/9 sub dials configuration, but this 6/9/12 looks good. Well done Breitling.

Slightly tough crowd! I saw this pop up on my FB feed earlier today, and I personally think this is the best looking piece Breitling have churned out in a while. It's a shame it's not got an in-house inside, but on looks alone I love it.

Yes I know it's not exactly like the AVI, but I don't find that to be remotely an issue. I think the component parts all work well together, nothing is glaringly "off" with the design, and they've kept the number of fonts down for a change, plus Breitling FINALLY get with the programme and make a CERAMIC BEZEL!

I'm a BIG fan of it. Well done Breitling!

:yeahthat
Totally agree. I'm more vintage than modern in taste but Breitling aren't in the business of producing vintage watches. They haven't called it the AVI so it's fine that it's different. However... 46mm means I'll never buy one.

Am in the "I like it, esp the bezel, but it's too big for me" camp. But stylistically it's a nice portent.
