As a standalone piece I think it looks rather nice. As a tribute / reinterpretation of the AVI / CP perhaps not quite so successful, and at 46mm it's too large for many. I'm assuming it's a 7750 / 13 movement as they say nothing about that, but there is one significant step forward for which Breitling deserves a lot of credit - albeit years after they should have done it......

It's got a ceramic bezel - finally.

If this is a sign of things to come a Basel, bring it on.

edit, obviously not 13 with a GMT, but likely not in house.

It's an encouraging sign -- especially with the ceramic bezel.

I have been hoping for a long time that Breitling would re-introduce the 765 AVI bezel on one of its chronographs, and this would have been a perfect opportunity. If I could wave a magic wand, I would use a B04 movement, and replace the 24-hr bezel with the 765 AVI-style bezel. To me, that would be a true home run. As it stands, the Chronoliner appears to be a Navi World dressed in different clothing.

Website says they will be using the B24 movement, same as the one currently used in the Navitimer World.

I like it, and it looks good on the mesh. The ceramic bezel works well, for me there's nothing to dislike though at 46mm I'd need to see how it looks on my less than substantial wrists. The Heritage influences are a positive step forward (or backward if you like!)

As a 'new watch' I think it's great. It doesn't have the fineness of the original avi's and 3/6/9 subs look better in my view so it shouldn't be compared to the classics, but as a modern watch I think it is a nice addition to the family, unlike certain other new watches discussed recently which just don't work from a design point of view!

If I was looking to buy a brand new watch I would certainly consider it, but in reality I would buy the vintage example.

Very nice, a step in the right direction! Glad it has a ceramic bezel! Is this the end of the silly rubber bezels? :)

Slightly tough crowd! I saw this pop up on my FB feed earlier today, and I personally think this is the best looking piece Breitling have churned out in a while. It's a shame it's not got an in-house inside, but on looks alone I love it.

Yes I know it's not exactly like the AVI, but I don't find that to be remotely an issue. I think the component parts all work well together, nothing is glaringly "off" with the design, and they've kept the number of fonts down for a change, plus Breitling FINALLY get with the programme and make a CERAMIC BEZEL!

I'm a BIG fan of it. Well done Breitling!

Personally I love this as a classic option from Breitling. 46mm is a little large, but the thickness of the watch should subtle it down a bit. Personally would have loved to scene more strap options, but the mesh does look strong. Any thoughts on price for this option??
