Hi there,

Just bought A Preowned navitimer and it's just arrived today and it's very impressive however the glass appears to have some swirl marks when I look hard under light. Is this normal? I've got a tag and longines that are both sapphire crystal and these are clear but flat glass where the navitimer is convex.

Anyone come across this?

When I look from the side everything looks clear.

It's probably marks on the anti-reflective coating which can get micro scratches. Not much you can do except move the outer AR.

Ah right I didn't know they had a coating on. The marks are tiny and you really have to look but you can see them.

Is the coating the reason why when I'm under some light the reflection of the light can look pinky/green?

Thanks for you reply :)

Yes, usually a blue tinge, but it can do weird things to the light (by design).

That's the AR coating.
