I've been wanting to purchase this watch for some time now and have hesitated time and time again due to the hefty price tag. I found a retailer that has offered me a price I may not be able to pass up. Does anyone know any history about this limited edition piece or anything about breitings 18k rose gold casing OR anything else that could help me make this decision?

Is there a point where a breitling purchase could be a bad investment when it exceeds a certain price point?

Thank you

Ray Mak

Any new Breitling (and virtually any new watch) is a bad investment. Gold watches are worse than most because secondary pricing drops like a stone on them. If you like the watch then buy it, but you won't make money on it at any price. Not sure what you are looking at in terms of details, case is 18K, LE is because it is gold, same concept that Breitling does for many models.

As Roff said, hardly any watch, rarely a Breitling and even more so a precious metal model could even remotely be considered as an investment.
What you are buying is a piece of exclusive jewellery.
If you like it and can afford it, go for it.
If you can't afford it , forget it.
I like it but I've realised that I have to forget it ;-)

Understood. Thank you all. I decided to purchase it. I suppose I knew watches are never good investments, I just wish Breitlings held more of there value in the long run.

Thanks again
