Hi Guys,

This one popped up for authentication on another forum. Does it look authentic?
Aside from the unusual case lugs, my gut feeling is its a typical 17J generic vintage fabrication from China.

It's the same piece we had discussed recently, René - may I remind you you said fake, I said genuine ;)
the one where u have to add a 7 to make the model ref. work, though it's not in Richter (and not in the 1946 catalog).

good to see u are on the fence now, let's see what Roff, Paul and others think .....

I'm neutral. But owner states it was her late grandfather's, so that tends to push me off the fence.

If its the same piece I just fell off the fence ;) although the breitling script is very convincing ,
The back however I dont trust at all if its the same watch

Looking at it on a phone, but reluctant to call it pure fake - definitely not a Chinese piece with that dial. That said, I'm far from convinced that dial and case started life together.
