missed this one, so sadly it isn't mine; but what a beautiful piece, though I'd document it here.

another example that shows a late post-1953 "Geneve" dial and hands in a mid/late-1940s case, must admit I have actually never seen a ref. 769 SS case that was produced in the 1950s, maybe Paul or others remember an example; the production quantities for these cases were apparently very optimistic.

how did that sneak under the radar screen? can you read the import code though? is it WOG? doesn't seem to be but maybe my eyes.

I saw that just after it was posted and didn't give it but a quick look after seeing the signed crown and 1947 date. I still thought it a good buy. I should have looked a little closer at this one. :roll:
