1962 Wide Bezel AOPA Navitimer (Cosmonaute), extremely rare - absolutely stunning condition, and most likely the best example I have ever bought.

Looks like the lume in the hands has been replaced?

There's a good chance that you are right, but it looks very old when you see the watch, and it's definitely Radium / Tritium.

I have seen similar unevenness in the color on many Navitimers, where it was very unlikely that it had ever been replaced, but at the end of the day I guess you know more than I do about that.

have also seen the greenish lume on the hands of early panda 806 (my 809 sample just isn't large enough) where the dial lume was yellowish/beige - and no signs of hands replacement or other restoration work.

we'd have to find somebody old enough to remember how they looked new in the early/mid 1960s - I have recently asked Albert Wajs about that and he said the hands he had bought from the Willy Breitling stock had yellow lume, but these were probably late 1960s and 1970s production.
