usualy there should not be lume on a stop-second hand from chrono,
but sometimes we see Navitimer 806 they have.

Is it authentic perhabs for some production year or a special number range.

For me on the picture the lume from indices and the aerohead looks
the same aged.

and this is not the only 806 i saw in this way.

regards

Stephan

I have never seen a 100% 806 come out of the factory with lume on the tip of the chrono hand

pic is not clear enough or sharp enough to say anything about the rest but the 12 looks a little 'thick'

I have never seen a lume tipped stop seconds hand.

The lume on the tip looks different to the lume on the main hands which look possibly relumed?

yes the lume on the tip look different to the lume on the hands and the hands
seems to be relumed, but the question is about, that the lume from the indices
and the tip is "matching" and for me the lume on the indices look authentic.

Also the 12 looks a little bid "thick", but i am shure, that we can find
a lot of 806 with that "thick12" - another interesting point.

Haven't seen lumed tip before in my limited experience. Agreed that the indices and tip lume appear the same. I don't believe it was like this from new.

that there is no missunderstanding:

i also wondered about the tip and it should not be usually from factory,
but i also think that the lume from indices really looks aged and
seems to be a long time on the dial and perhabs from the time leaving the factory.

I have at the moment no better pictures, because watch is in bank safe.

Will relumd indices look like this?

have seen quite a lot of 806 of all production years and quite a lot of NOS replacement hands, none had a lume tip.

not so sure that dial has not been relumed, the 2 ist strange.

Hey Stephan, it's nice to see you over here...

Obviously hard to give a definitive answer, but since it's the only picture, I edited it to make it easier to see the lume. Maybe this way someone can give A more definitive opinion.

thx for all comments.

So it seems, that a lumetip should be generelly unplausible.

But the thick/strange 2 (12) we really see often. Google
picture search and some minutes regarding the pictures
show them and on these there are in my opinion no generelly
doubt about the lume from this watches

for example
