Is there a difference in how long (well, short) can one adjust the strap length for various Breitling rubber straps? Or all variants (Diver Pro, Diver Pro II, Ocean Racer) suitable for a cca. 6.1 inch wrist, regardless of strap width?

I'm thinking about getting a 22mm rubber strap for by B-1, but I've never worn any rubber straps, so I'd avoid buying the most expensive Breitling rubber strap (Ocean Racer), unless of course it's the only rubber suitable for skinny wrists

Any insights or feedbacks about skinny wrists + Breitling rubber would be much appreciated.

The straps that have to be cut - DPII and OR will easily accommodate that size, the DP will do it, but you will have a fairly long tail.

As a fellow with "modest" wrists myself, tang buckle rubber straps are out - I always have to trim the tail end. And sometimes punch an extra hole. You end up with the tang buckle almost sitting dead square on the side of the wrist. Looks ridiculous. ("And a man in my position cannot afford to look ridiculous!" ~Godfather). You need the deployment clasp for the rubber straps - either DPII or OR. The straps themselves cost the same (~$65 after modest discount)- the expense is the clasp, but it is nearly infinitely adjustable and just awesome. Really having started with DPII tang buckle straps, I can tell you from experience it isn't even a close call - go for the rubber/deployment strap combo!

I believe the Diver Pro will work but you will have to punch extra holes. I tried on a Skyland Avenger with DP and there weren't enough holes to acommodate my 6.5" wrist. Your best bet will be the Ocean Racer - mine still has two open holes on both sides of the strap (3 on each side, one of which is occupied by the springbar) and the fine adjustment is just about in the middle of its travel.

Thanks guys for the info. I'll try to convince myself that an Ocean Racer would work out well, and so I shouldn't be afraid of spending that amount on a strap

You should not be afraid. The strap is in the end THE factor for your well-feeling with your watch. Thoughts and money well invested...

One more -- possibly silly -- concern about rubber straps. When you put a watch with a rubber strap on a winder, wouldn't the head (that puts a bit of stress on the strap to hold the watch in place) eventually make the rubber strap loosen up? (slacken, elongate, whatever the right word for that )

In other words: is rubber strap and winder a good combo or a bad idea?

Quite frankly, I'm a bit afraid because I never liked leather straps, and I consider myself a "bracelet only" kinda guy. But I suppose my problem with Breitling leather straps is solely the bad adaptation to the wrist form. I know eventually the stiff leather would "break in" a bit, and it would follow my wrist better than when it's brand new, but still. I expect rubber to be a lot better in that area, although I'm not sure if it also has a break-in period or not...

Well I guess it might eventually depending on the brand, but you could say the same for any strap.

You will probably need to order the short version of the strap but I would try a regular first to be sure as rubber straps involve cutting to fit deployants.

I believe that there is a short version 10mm shorter on each side, otherwise identical.

Hmmm, the AD doesn't found it in the breitling AD book
We tried a "simulation" with another watch who have a Pro II strap, obviously without cutting the strapp, it seems to be good , if holes are the same on Pro III

According to my AD the short straps have been discontinued. I managed to score a short Pro II by fluke as it was on a watch in the store but they were unable to order more for me.
